OMWC raises most of its funds via our annual fundraiser, currently mailbox bows. These are combined with dues to support club activities which include investing in Oak Meadow in the form of capital improvements that benefit the neighborhood. Among the Woman’s Club contributions and activities to date are:
- Permanent Picnic Tables at Oak Meadow Park (set on concrete bases)
- Both sets of Playscape Equipment at the Park
- Riding Lawn Mower for Park and entrance maintenance, co-funded with HOA
- Brown Pool Chairs
- $4,000 to Tennis Court Resurfacing Fund
- Organize the annual 4th of July Family Parade
- Sponsor the ‘Yard of the Month’ Program
- The permanent Tennis Court (green) Benches
- Contributed $1000 toward establishment of the OM Dog Park
- $4,000 toward new Pool Pump
- Park Water Fountain with HOA
- Child safe borders for park Playscape areas
- Swim Team’s Starting Blocks
- 4th of July Flags along the OM parade route
- Park Sidewalk Installation (bordering Vantage Hill)
- Installed and maintain 3 entrance ‘Neighborhood Activity’ signs
- Funded the Sand Volleyball Court (now the site of the Dog Park)
- OMSC Diving Board
- Published the Oak Meadow newsletter, The Meadowlark, until 1999. Now co-fund it with HOA and SC
- Donate to the two OM Churches for use of their facilities
- Host the annual ‘Backyard Tour’
- Manage the San Antonio Food Back donation site in Oak Meadow
